Merida Ninety-Six 6000 (2019)
The Merida Ninety Six 9 6000 is a dual-suspension mountain bike that is built to be a powerhouse in cross-country racing. The Nano Matrix Carbon frame has fibres bonded together with an epoxy resin and added nano particles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40% and protecting the integrity of the carbon frame. An inflatable bladder is used in the construction of the frame to ensure there are no wrinkles inside the tube as these can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame. The cables, housings and brake hoses are clamped under tension to prevent rattling when the trail gets rough, and all inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with potential Di2 upgrades, hydraulic hoses, brake cable and gear cable housings etc.
The Ninety Six 9 6000 has 29” wheels and a Fox Rhythm Float front fork with lockout-out and 100mm travel to smooth the bumps on the trails. The suspension fork lockout can be locked directly or via a control on the handlebar. A Fox Performance Elite Float rear shock forms the Race Link single-pivot rear suspension system which is optimized for cross-country racing and 1x drivetrains. A super light (80g) carbon rocker and linkage system create a light, efficient rear end, eliminating pedal-bob.
The Merida Ninety Six 9 6000 is equipped with a 12 speed Sram Eagle drivetrain and Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes for improved control and reliability regardless of the conditions. The Merida Ninety Six 9 6000 is made for cross-country racing and high performance. With a lightweight and durable carbon frame, remote lockout on the suspension fork and quality range of Sram/Shimano parts, this bike is all about performing at the highest level and will enable you to get the most out of yourself in a competitive environment.
